Thieves have always been banned from the usual public places, due to their propensity for acquiring money, pocket watches, and other baubles that might not necessarily be their own. Yes, throughout the ages, all the common thief wanted was to be accepted into society – usually, so he could more easily fill his pockets without being caught – but I digress. Just because one has sticky fingers, doesn’t mean that he or she should not be allowed to call a place home. The Hidden Brothers shared this belief, and therefore Thieves’ Alley was created.
The Hidden Brothers (Draper, Zero, and Pocket) host this event each year. They invite thieves from all eras, to escape their everyday lives, and lose themselves in three days of camaraderie, food, drink, song, and of course… Thievery. Attendees are advised to choose their time period, dress the part, and celebrate the majesty that is a clandestine gathering of roguish fiends.
All are welcome, for the Hidden Brothers do not discriminate. They have entertained everyone from pirates and paladins, to cowboys and dexterous rabbits. So forget all the times you were told to “just be yourself.”, come as anyone or anything you like, just don’t be yourself.
